What is HIFU

UltraLift HIFU EVO (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a new technology that is now emerging as one of the most efficient for skin tightening and non-surgical rejuvenation by focused ultrasonic energy.

This treatment can target various depths of the body’s tissue for skin tightening, skin lifting and body contouring. Entirely non-invasive, HIFU works by targeting deep layers in the skin – it boosts new collagen production and collagen regeneration right at the source. It is sometimes called the ‘Lunchtime Face Lift’ as the treatment is quick, very tolerable and has no downtime.

HIFU for the body: energy is used to target the fat layer and destroy fat cells. HIFU is ideal for body contouring post pregnancy tummy, abdomen fat, bingo wings, thighs and under the buttocks; for a non-surgical bum lifting effect. It can even tighten the skin on the knees and arms, helping to improve the ‘crepey’ look.

HIFU treatment

HIFU treatment is ideal for treating turkey neck, fine lines, sagging jowls, droopy mouth, sagging skin under your chin, fine lines, crow’s feet, crepey skin, lowered eyebrow line and wrinkles on the chest. 

The treatment can take 30 to 90 minutes depending on the number of areas you are treating. There are no downtimes whatsoever. You can get your treatment during your lunch break and get back to work without any hassle. Our clients see immediate results post treatment. However, for best results, we highly recommend 1 to 2 sessions. 

HIFU treatments might feel slightly uncomfortable, like a subtle prickling feeling under your skin. This sensation will quickly pass though. This means your treatment is perfectly working.

Difference between HIFU, RF & laser

  • Radio Frequency (Thermage) creates bulk heating, limited penetration depth to 3 mm, with temperatures to 55°C

  • Laser (Fractional resurfacing) penetrates to 1.5 mm and uses temperatures of 100°C

  • HIFU penetrates to 1.5 mm, 3 mm, 4.5 mm

  • Creates ideal temperature of 60 – 70°C for protein denaturation and collagen remodeling at each focus point

Aftercare – 24-48 hours post treatment

  • Use SPF 30+

  • Moisturize

  • Avoid hot showers

  • Do not exercise

  • Do not use sauna, spa, etc.

  • Avoid alcohol

How do I look right after treatment

  • Second treatment after 2 1⁄2 to 3 months

  • Third treatment (if required) after another 2 1⁄2 to 3 months

  • Annual maintenance

  • Take before and after photos with each session, ensure you duplicate lightning and position

  • Develop a treatment plan incorporating other treatment modalities according to client

  • needs such as Shockwave, lymphatic massage, Skin Analyser, Microdermabrasion, LED, peels or laser etc
